Software House, Penang — Foundations Workshop
CHALLENGE
A development team of four had begun working with GPU resources provided by a cloud partner. Configuration questions were consuming senior engineer time because newer staff couldn't handle the setup process independently.
APPROACH
Two junior engineers attended the Foundations Workshop as a pair. The format allowed them to work through exercises side by side and discuss questions in real time with the instructor.
OUTCOME
Both participants could handle routine cluster configuration tasks without escalation within two weeks of completing the workshop. Senior engineer consultation time for configuration issues dropped noticeably over the following month.

CHALLENGE
An operations engineer had completed some self-directed learning on GPU clusters but lacked confidence in the full configuration sequence — particularly around storage integration and fault recovery procedures.
APPROACH
The Applied Setup Programme covered the areas where self-study had reached its limit. The multi-week format meant the engineer could test understanding between sessions and return with specific questions from their own environment.
OUTCOME
The engineer completed the programme with documented configuration competency across all modules and took on the cluster setup lead role within their team. The sample configurations from the programme were adapted for the company's own environment.

CHALLENGE
A team of six infrastructure staff needed to develop consistent cluster setup knowledge before a planned capacity expansion. Sending staff to Penang individually wasn't feasible; a single coordinated engagement was preferred.
APPROACH
Tessil delivered the On-Site Training over three days at the client's Singapore office. Pre-planning established that the team had varied backgrounds, so the programme was paced to bring less experienced participants up to speed without slowing down those who already had context.
OUTCOME
All six participants completed the engagement with a shared reference handbook specific to their environment. The company reported that post-training configuration tasks were handled internally without external support for the first time. The handbook has been updated and reused for two subsequent new hires.
